nubar's Venetian Glass Collection Coming June 30

nubar's Venetian Glass Collection will be available at www.bynubar.com on June 30, 2010, and it's already a hit in early reviews.

Stephanie at Steph's Closet swatched all eight glass flecked shades on paper to show her readers the full collection, and told them, "You need Verde if you love unique greens!"

nubar's exceptionally pigmented formula was noted by several reviewers.  Scandously Polished says, "These are so packed with glass-fleck I think I'd almost call them semi-foil...I LOVE glass fleck! Its so smooth...The formula on these was great, the standard I've come to anticipate from Nubar...I like it that Nubar breaks out of the box and releases collection other companies don't. "  Brooke at Getcha Nails Did adds, "...these colors just scream leaves changing colors and autumn weather... Beautopia enjoyed Vaso, calling it, "a light and delicate shade that contrasts nicely with the brash and bold fiery tones in this collection."

The standout favorite shade amongst the reviewers from nubar's Venetian Glass Collection seems to be Verde, about which Beautopia says, "This one is AMAZING! It's got a blue base and it's full of green and golden foil shimmer that floats on top. It's super pigmented and applies like a dream. This is just beyond words!"

nubar's Sparkles Collection

nubar's Sparkles Collection became available today, after receiving exceptional reviews in previews.

Of the collection, Scrangie said, "I am totally over-the-moon in love with this collection... Love love love love love..." and The Nailphile told her readers, "They are... more than I'd hoped for." Brooke at Getcha Nails Did was equally excited about the Sparkles Collection, and the exceptional photographs from these reviews show why there's so much enthusiasm.



Scrangie says of Hyacinth Sparkle, "...it totally blew me away. It's not dull or sheer at all, it's sparkly and colorful! Pretty unique shade as well, vibrant purple glitters are *very* rare."


The Nailphile's favorite is Petunia Sparkle.


Brooke says Star Sparkles is, "Super duper gorgeous!! I love this polish with a passion."

Brooke's comment on Night Sparkles is: "Whoooohoooo baby is this one pretty! I kept thinking this is what Dorothy Who? should have looked like."



Scrangie says, "Violet Sparkle. Saved the best for last. This is AMAZING. I can't even tell you how incredible this is. I have been waiting for a glitter like this forever, it seems. It is a super colorful, bright, bold, vibrant, saturated PURPLE!!! glitter. It's a little more sheer than the others so I did three coats here, but it is well worth it. This could be my favorite glitter of all time. I can't even tell you how excited I am that this polish exists."

The Nailphile Previews nubar's Royal Gems Collection

Siobhan at The Nailphile previewed nubar's Royal Gems Collection for her readers this week, and she was very enthusiatic about the collection. She says, "I love these. I'm really enjoying Nubar's releases in that they're good as collections, great individual colors, and completely what they are. You want gemstone colors? No wussy washed-out ones here. They are what they are. I like that!"

The Nailphile's Previews nubar's Modern Matte Collection

Siobhan at The Nailphile recently previewed nubar's Modern Matte Collection, which will be released in mid July. She was very impressed with this collection of four unique matte shades, saying, "There are three notable things about them: (i) they can be used with a base and top coat, so no nail staining (and we'll get to the top coat part...); (ii) they are incredibly pigmented, being opaque in one coat (I did two to be consistent with other Nubar swatches); (iii) they're crazy quick-dry." She went on to photograph each of the nail lacquers both with and without Diamont Seal & Shine Top Coat.

California Dreamin' Collection Reviewed

We found that Siobhan at The Nailphile recently reviewed nubar's California Dreamin' Collection, calling it, "one of the most overlooked collections in the history of nail polish," and going on to say that she'd been reluctant to try them because, "the colors are shimmers, and usually orange, yellow, and green shimmers take eight zillion coats to not be opaque, but I found that's completely not the case here."

Highlights of her photographs of the collection include what Siobhan calls, "my beloved pink to end all pinks, Hollywood Pink," and Reef Green, which she tells her readers,"is a stunner."

The Nailphile Declares nubar Angelic Glitter "The Best Glitter Ever"

Today we found Siobhan at The Nailphile has named nubar's Angelic Glitter "the best glitter ever," saying, "it's probably my absolute favorite glitter polish of all time."

Siobhan wore Angelic Glitter over nubar's Belize Coral from nubar's Corals Collection, and tells her readers that, "Honestly, this is one of my all time favorite combinations. I'm just as happy as can be with it." Her photographs show her readers why.

The Nailphile Gets Creative with Pasadena Purple and Purple Fire

We found Siobhan at The Nailphile wearing nubar, and again we exceeded her expectations. Yesterday she wore Pasadena Purple and found that, "I saw images from the movie with it and bottle pictures of it, even other blogs' pictures, of it. I tell you: pictures don't do this one justice. Mine don't either. This is an instant Top 20 polish for me... It's so rich and pretty and glowy!" That is high praise coming from someone with so many polishes to choose from as The Nailphile.

Siobhan was thrilled with Pasadena Purple, and she was also excited to have recently received some of our Glitters. She said, "...more pretties came with it that I couldn't wait to dig into. I have glitters! I added two coats of Nubar Purple Fire to this one."

The Nailphile Reviews nubar's Cleopatra Collection

We're making some exciting changes here at nubar in the coming months, and one of those changes is our new blog. We hope you enjoy it, and that you come back to visit often.

We discovered that The Nailphile had recently reviewed the new Cleopatra Collection, and she's very excited about it. She says, "I melted into a little puddle when I saw them," and that she ran into a the some trouble trying to select which she liked best: "As I swatched these, I started a color and decided, "This is my favorite," moved on to the next, decided, "This is my favorite," and did that for the whole thing. I've simply concluded that I cannot pick a favorite..." It sounds like nubar really impressed her with this collection!

Here are her pictures of Passionate Purple, about which she said, "The grand finale is the blurple to end all blurples: Passionate Purple. It's a deeply colored blue purple, but the far from black. It's distinctly blurple and sparkly on the nail in normal lighting."
