Temptalia Reviews nubar's Finest Silks

In Temptalia's recent review of nubar's Finest Silks Collection, Christine was just as impressed with nubar's smooth formula as other expert reviewers. She says, "Application was stellar on all of the creams: two coats for creamy, smooth, even color. The formula isn’t too thick or thin, and the rubber cap makes it easy to hold when applying."

She reviewed the collection in two parts, swatching Organza, Taffeta, Marabout, and Pekin in Part I, and Sateen, Charmeuse, Moire, and Chiffon in Part II. Christine found her favorite Finest Silks shade in Charmeuse, which she calls, "a wearable, modern pink–not bright, not utterly girly, and not pastel."

nubar's Finest Silks Are a Hit with Scrangie

When Scrangie reviewed nubar's Finest Silks Collection, she was especially impressed with nubar's smooth formula. She said, "The formula on these was just perfect. Dreamy. Flawless, effortless application... Drying time is good and I experienced no problems with the texture, application or brushes. The formula was really, really great, I am impressed with it more than I am with the colors."

Of the collection as a whole she said, "The press release states that they were aiming for a collection of timeless colors for every skintone with the benefit of a two-coat coverage formula, and that's exactly what they've created."

nubar's exceptionally pigmented formula was noted by several reviewers.  Scandously Polished says, "These are so packed with glass-fleck I think I'd almost call them semi-foil...I LOVE glass fleck! Its so smooth...The formula on these was great, the standard I've come to anticipate from Nubar...I like it that Nubar breaks out of the box and releases collection other companies don't. "  Brooke at Getcha Nails Did adds, "...these colors just scream leaves changing colors and autumn weather... These have vivid hues and a strong glass flecked shimmer with rich color saturation."  Siobhan at The Nailphile was impressed too, stating that, "I was excited about opaque glass flecked polishes, since most glass flecked are pretty sheer on me."  These ladies photographed all eight shades on the nail, and here are some highlights from each of them.

Taupe Nail Polish
WhoWhatWear Features nubar's Sandstone as a Top Taupe Nail Polish Pick

Editor Liza Kaplan says:
Nubar's Nature's Touch Collection may have been a jewel derived from fall, but the inclusion of Sandstone with their richer reds meant they were truly ahead of the curve. Like all of Nubar's polishes, is it formaldehyde and carcinogen-free, and it offers the perfect true taupe tone to accessorize your spring essentials. As if this isn't enough, the polish also has a hint of subtle shimmer to add a touch of glamour to the hands of any pretty young thing.

nubar's Prism Collection

nubar's Prism Collection is released today, and has received a warm reception in reviews.

Kelly of Vampy Varnish says, "Nubar’s formula is most excellent these are all just top notch, I had no issues whatsoever. They are very holographic also, not just a little bit," and Anne at Beauty Xpose notes that, "All of the nail polishes glide on evenly without chunky glitter poking through the top as you might expect; the glitter lies flat, resulting in a smooth, glass-like finish." Scrangie's enthusiasm for the collection was clear when she said, "I was way too excited to wait for appropriate lighting for swatches, so I snapped a few pics in the dark of the Nubar Prism samples that just arrived."

Various reviewers have skillfully photographed the Prisms, previewing the eight holographic shades.

Beauty Judy shows Jewel and says, "The brown goes so well with the colors of the rainbow. I blurred this pic a bit so you could see those glitters!"
